If you’re using iTunes, remember that somem4p files are NOT sharable. Only YOU can open it with your password.

The process to convert non-mp3 files is:

1. Open file in iTunes
2. Change your iTunes settings to 128kbps / 44kHz at normal "stereo mode"
   (iTunes: Preferences > General > Import Settings > Setting: Custom...)
3. Create an mp3 from the CD
   (iTunes: File > Create New Version > Create MP3 Version)

To create MP3s you need to download the software that will let you ENCODE MP3s from your CDs (or from other audio files):
