We didn't know what to expect
When we got the call to go
So warily we went
But little did we know
That there was so much to learn
So much for us to do
An adventure at every turn
& a memory of you
In the snapshots in my mind
I still remember you
You were there by my side
Until each day was through
Then in the heart of the darkness
Heaven's smile would shine
Forever I will cherish
These snapshots in my mind
In the canyon of lost souls
Your Truth lights up the dark
It leads me where to go
& helps me see the heart
Of all the hurting people
& all that I can do
If I go among them
& I keep my eyes on You
In the snapshots in my mind
I still remember You
You were there by my side

These snapshots in my mind
See the hurting people
It's a picture with no frame
I pray if they forget us
They'll remember Jesus' name
