THE PRINT DILEMMA

Even though you can find MOST worship songs in print these days, how about the great Christian Contemporary Music from the radio that you'd like to incorporate into your service? How about that new secular song that has spiritual overtones that would so eloquently reinforce the message? What about the "antithetic" songs such as Styx's "Fooling Yourself" or Sting's "She's Too Good For Me" or Heart's "Nobody Home" which so perfectly put the truth in perspective? These songs are not in print at all, OR they're in the wrong key, notated for piano & vocal only & spread out over 10 pages or more. Not very useable. They have the VERY obvious leadline notated, but the intricate background vocals are nowhere to be found.

THE CHURCH MUSICIAN DILEMMA

Your music team must learn & "present" several songs each week. You need to provide them with the TOOLS to do their best. Most are not professionals. Many do not read music at all. Singers often just go by what they hear while the band often can only deal with chords & simple rhythms. So how does a 14-page vocal/piano score from the local store help equip them to do their best?

THE TOOLS TO PURSUE EXCELLENCE

ChartsForChurches provides EASY to use charts for musicians of all playing levels. The charts are "studio style" - designed to guide musicians through a song on a first sitting just like the pros use in Nashville & LA. ChartsForChurches also offers rehearsal tapes for singers to aid them in better learning their parts - even singers who are great sight readers find rehearsal tapes invaluable.

A TYPICAL SCENARIO

The music ministry team is scrambling again.

It's Monday morning & someone has to come up with the music for Sunday's service. You want to do that cool new song by the group AVALON you keep hearing on the radio but it's NOT IN PRINT! The band and the vocalists will be at your Thursday night rehearsal to work on the music for Sunday. What now?

Someone on the music team can take the time to write out the chords over the lyrics & once again you can struggle together as a team to figure out the complicated rhythms & pray that the vocalists will fumble their way to the right notes. You can do a mediocre, stress-filled job of it. But God calls us to excellence in ALL we do.

That's why I developed ChartsForChurches.

By Thursday morning you can have the rhythm charts IN HAND! You'll also have the parts for your background vocals notated in full. You can even get rehearsal tapes for the vocalists! Oh, and you have a horns section? You can have charts for them too! And one last thing - you only have a guy who sings bass available to sing lead? It'll be in whatever key works for him.

That's what I do. I make the music you WANT to do DOABLE!
